man wish my parents owned a paper and put me in it

#2 Dr. J commented, on July 9, 2007 at 9:13 a.m.:

Wow! what great aspirations you have! Maybe if you ever did something worthwhile or productive besides whining like a spoiled twit, you could be in the paper.
I'm betting you probably will anyways. Most probably in the police blotter section

#3 Pagent Judge commented, on July 9, 2007 at 10:33 a.m.:

Chunky girls ain't gonna win no beauty contest. I can tell you that!

#4 Sharon Ogle commented, on July 9, 2007 at 10:58 a.m.:

Congrats to Kayli Ogle of Kodak who also competed!!!!

#5 pageant judge 2 commented, on July 9, 2007 at 1 p.m.:

Who here is chunky?
All these girls are skinny and they are all absolutely beautiful!
Who does Pageant Judge (who doesn't even know how to spell pageant) think is chunky?

#6 pageant judge 3 commented, on July 9, 2007 at 3:27 p.m.:

Yes, I agree.
All these girls are beautiful and the perfect size. Not chunky, not too skinny either.
Whoever said that all or any of these girls were chunky must be very insecure. They are probably ugly, fat, way to skinny, or just wish that they could be as confident, beautiful, and amazing as these girls that competed in this pageant.

Good Job Girls!!!

#7 Seymour mom commented, on July 9, 2007 at 10:44 p.m.:

Good job girls. It takes a lot of guts to get up in front of hundreds of people and compete. You are all winners because you had the courage to try.

To Angela's mom, where did you get her dress? We need one for the fair!!

#9 Kayli's mom commented, on July 10, 2007 at 9:55 p.m.:

I want to wish Kayli a very happy 11th b-day this Sat the 14th!!

#10 Angela's mom commented, on July 11, 2007 at 12:25 a.m.:

Hurry to the mall! We got it at JC Penney's. Both Penney's and Dillards are clearing out their gowns to get ready for pageant season with their new (and much more expensive) versions.
We got it on sale from $180 to $49.95 and most of the dresses are now marked down to $24.95.
Thanks for asking.

#11 concerned mother commented, on July 11, 2007 at 7:06 p.m.:

Everyone that is competing in the Sevier Co. Fairest of the Fair:
I was going to enter my daughter in this pageant for the 4th year until I heard some horrible news. This pageant may be RIGGED!!! Somehow, word spread and several moms knew who was going to win a previous pageant before it even started!!! And, guess what, she won.
Many moms, including me, have found out the name of one girl who is going to win this year. If she wins, we will find out a way to make the owners of this pageant get out of state judges that don't know anyone and make it so no one can talk to the judges until after the judging is over.
Let's just hope that this pageant isn't rigged
:[
It'd be a shame if it is

#12 just a mom commented, on July 13, 2007 at 8:50 a.m.:

is the girl on here? Has she won before? Can you tell the name? Thanks for the info!

#13 Kayli's mom commented, on July 13, 2007 at 8:53 a.m.:

Pam McKay has always seemed fair to me.How did all this come about? Have you talked to Pam about this?

#14 the same concerned mother commented, on July 13, 2007 at 2:37 p.m.:

to just a mom: no the girl isn't on here and it will be her first year winning fairest of the fair.
to kayli's mom: yes she has seemed fair, but she tells the judges to pick these girls!!! that is NOT fair.
And who knows. this pageant might not be rigged and it may just be a rumor. Although many moms knew who was going to win last year before it started, maybe somehow it was a rumor. We will find out this year. If the girl who is said to win wins, everyone will know that this is rigged. And, trust me, i will talk to Pam if the girl wins.

#15 Pam McKay commented, on July 13, 2007 at 3:13 p.m.:

I would like to know exactly who thinks they know who will win Sevier County Fairest of the Fair, when no one has even entered the pageant.
Obviously you are the same person that said it was rigged last year. To let you know whoever you are and I will find out who you are. I have directed the Fair pageant for the last 20 years, it is strictly volunteer,I have never been paid for this job,I have taking away from my family and business, to do this community service. So I would appreciate if you do not know what you are talking about it would be nice to keep you comments to yourself. I usually do not read this kind of pageant trash, but if you had been involved as long as I have in pageants, and hear someone talking about how your pageants are rigged, then I would love for that person to just try to put on an event like this and just see know overwhelming it is.
When you find out who is goig to win this year, pleae let me know because I usually Idon't know until the tabulators habds me the paper on pageant night.

#16 Pam McKay commented, on July 13, 2007 at 3:40 p.m.:

When I get the list of contestants this year, I will get this (concerned mother) to let me know who is going to win this year. Because all you are teaching your daughter is to show poor sportsmanship. I would love for you to go ahead and talk with me about this, since you stated that you will talk to me about this. After she wins, where do you get your information. Since you said your daughter has competed the last four years I do keep all the entry forms. Obviously she hasn't already won or you would not be bashing me. I will have to look back on the past entry forms.
When the Sevier Co. Econmic Board ask me to continue to direct the Fairest of the Fair, I didn't want to take it anyway from all the children that enjoy it.
But we almost lost the Fair forever last year, and I feel since people of this county came together to keep it alive, I would appreciate that people like you don't spoil it .

#17 Kayli's mom commented, on July 13, 2007 at 5:15 p.m.:

Well Kayli will be competing in the Fair. I believe in Pam and always have!!!!

#18 Angela's mom commented, on July 14, 2007 at 12:05 a.m.:

She wants to compete again too if it doesn't conflict with cheerleading. I think this is her third year. She has always had a fun time. I think it's a good experience for the kids and it has been put together well. It's organized and goes smoothly. Hopefully Gary Woods will take the pictures again this year. He always does a good job. Good luck to everyone who has the guts to get up on the stage. Pam, don't let other people bug you! Thanks for continuing with the pageant. Let's just pray to keep the rain away! :-}

#19 KAYLI'S MOM commented, on July 15, 2007 at 9:53 a.m.:

I saw Gary at the horse show last night. I didn't think to ask about the fair. Darn!! I hope he does them also!! He has always done a great job!!

#20 Kayli's mom commented, on July 15, 2007 at 9:54 a.m.:

Does anyone know a seamstress??

#21 for kayli's mom commented, on July 16, 2007 at 11:41 p.m.:

there is one in the sew'n'vac store in sevierville but she has never been very friendly when I've been in there.

#22 Excited Pageant Mom! commented, on July 23, 2007 at 10:56 p.m.:

Just to let other mothers know that I found an incredible dress at the new boutique in downtown Sevierville. It is called Change of a Dress. They special ordered our dress and it was here in 4 days!!! They also gave me names to a few seamstresses but I have misplaced them. Any advice for a 1st timer?

#23 Cowgirl Golfer commented, on July 31, 2007 at 5:58 p.m.:

I've been in pageants before and my Mom always tells me to speak to everyone and just have a good time. You never know, one of the girls just might turn out to be your roommate in college or even your maid of honor. It should be about having fun and meeting new people. I think Ms.Pam does a great job, and it is a shame that people want to say hurtfull comments to bring the pageant and Ms.Pam down. They must be a very sad and insecure person. I am looking forward to the Fairest of The Fair and so are alot of my friends. Enjoy and have a good time and don't worry about foolish talk!!!!!!!!!!!

#24 rigged? commented, on September 4, 2008 at 7:27 p.m.:
