Storms brought heavy rains and high winds, bringing down trees around the area Monday and Tuesday evenings causing power outages in many areas effecting thousands.
One particular tree fell across the roof of a house on Hwy 411, just one half mile east of Chapman Highway.
Jonathan Lyons, owner of the house, which he converted into his office, says that no one was in the office when the tree fell on it.
“I got a call from my wife while she was driving by the office that a tree had fallen across the house,” Lyons told the Seymour Herald.
Lyons has been remodeling the house for his surveying office for the past six months.
“I can’t believe that it didn’t completely smash the roof,” said Lyons.
The tree had fallen in such a manor as to prevent the total collapse of the roof.
Many trees were reported fallen in the street.
There were no reports of any injuries.
