Seals stated that at approximately 5:32PM on Monday central dispatch received a 911 call from 586 Parton Hollow Rd. that a subject had been burned.
Sheriffs Officers, EMS and fire department units arrived and found Elizabeth Wade of that address seriously burned.
Wade’s fiancé, Michael Parton, stated that the couple was mixing rubbing alcohol and a glass cleaning solution, when Wade lit a cigarette causing the solution to ignite.
Parton was also burned on his leg and arm.
Wade’s burns were reported to be extensive to her upper body and as a result, she was airlifted via Lifestar helicopter to U. T. Hospital and was later flown to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
The investigation at the scene by SCSD investigators and Sevier Co EMA verified that the cause of the fire was consistent with the statement of the couple.

What a cerebral giant this Parton must be! I wonder if he checks his gasoline by peering into the filler tube using a lit candle for illumination.
Oops! looks like I'm the cerebral giant, huh. My comments were misdirected, but once it's on here, there's no correcting possible. I should have been referring to Wade, not Parton, so my apologies to him. And some advice: Now, do you see the danger of second-hand smoking?
Just got to love that Sevier County Stupidity, Good Ole Boy Style.....
