The program consists of several different components: a cattle genetic improvement program,
livestock equipment, livestock feed storage, cattle genetics, hay storage, grain storage, and feeder cattle incentive. In addition to these beef cattle programs there is also a program to help individuals interested in producer diversification. This is funds to assist individuals in developing new farm products and adding to excising farming operation. These programs utilize cost share incentives to encourage producers and markets to improve herds and facilities.

To qualify for the cost share, producers must have a Premise Identification Number and have their Beef Quality Assurance Certification. Producers will need to pre-qualify for the program by completing the Request for Cost Share Application form.
