starbucks to close

not even two years and it's closing

Starbucks regional manager informed the Seymour Starbucks staff that the Seymour location would be closing.

Employees at the Seymour Starbucks received the bad news Monday that after less than two years at the Chapman Hwy. location that the store will be closing.

The coffee shop located at 10646 Chapman Hwy in Seymour is just one of the many stores that are set to close due to the downturn in the economy and the lagging sales for the company.

Close to 20 people are employed at the Seymour locations and will soon joint the many people who are unemployed.

Store manager Blaine Murphy told the Seymour Herald, “The regional manager came in and told us that our store was one of the stores that would be closing,” The closure is expected to occur anywhere from two months to six months from today.

The store opened October 1, 2007.
