LENOIR CITY One man was killed and another injured at a site.
The accident happened at a new sewer plant construction site at the Lenoir City Water Treatment Plant. Wet concrete spilled on top of the workers.
The deceased man's name hasn't been released at press time.
The other man involved in the accident named Michael Kakouris, was taken to UT Medical Center.
It is unclear at this time as to what or who is to blame for the fatal accident.
"This was their last pour. It looked like the top half of the concrete form just gave way and fell in on the two gentlemen," stated LCUB General Manager Fred Nelson.
Construction on the new sewer plant will be delayed until the investigation is complete.
