The 17 Annual Sevier County Juried Student Art Show will be held Feb. 19 to March 6 at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts.
Students must drop off work Feb. 15 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the painting studio in Arrowmont. The reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 19 at the school.
No group projects will be accepted and only two entries per student will be accepted. The size limit for each piece, including sculpture, is 24-by-36 inches. All work must have the entry label printed from www.seviercountyartscouncil.org attached to the front.
All entries must be original and imaginative, no paint by numbers, no kits and no copies of other artist’s work. Works must be dry and ready to hang or display. Pastels and charcoals will not be displayed without a protective cover.
Framed work must be wired or have appropriate hangers attached. Paintings and drawing can be matted, mounted or framed by cannot exceed the 24-by-36 inch size. Sculptures should be stabilized with instructions and appropriate hardware for display.
Applicants are asked to sign and title their work and there will be a cash award for the Best Title. Work must be completed within the past year by Sevier County residents in grades K through 12.
The Arts Council reserves the right to disqualify art that does not conform to these standards.
Art must be picked up between 4 and 6 p.m. March 8 or 9 at the Arrowmont.
