pythons belong in zoos not in seymour homes

There are some pythons that make their home here in Seymour and nearby in other surrounding areas.  No way are they a native species.  They are not poisonous but they can pose a threat to man and beast alike.

For example; an eight foot python escaped from his glass terrarium.  The snake’s owner awoke to find the snake missing and immediately went to the child’s room to find the child dead and the python in the readying process of consuming the child.

Pythons won’t eat live food.  First they constrict, squeeze the life out of the prey and then go ahead and devour the prey.  Something the size of a two year old child would be prepared by a licking like process making the prey easier to swallow and digest.  You are not too apt to be confronted.  However a small child or you pet would make a ready target.

In South America it is not uncommon for a twenty foot long python will eat a cow or pig, a medium sized man or a boy.

How far Northward python’s are is anybody’s guess.  They have not been in Florida for long and are probably on the mov., They need to eat and can even eat an alligator.  Most likely python’s got there by unthinking persons using the Everglades as a disposal site for an unwanted ‘pets,’  That is how most of our invasive destructive non natives got here.

On a different subject;  As I go from place to place I am seeing some nice gardens; shame on me I did not get one in.  Between allergies and asthma I was pretty much house bound.  That brings up global warming and green house gas.

I don’t know much about global warming but greenhouse gas kind of explains itself.  If you can see it and smell it you probably breath it - how can that be good for you.

I hate to get behind a school bus or an eighteen wheeler if they are admitting black smoke.  Clean filters and bio-diesel will clear most of that up plus running cleaner they would be more efficient, less costly to run.  Hear that school bus systems.

Hey it’s the only earth that we have.  If we destroy this one do you thank that God will give us another one.  If we are to take care of our brother shouldn’t we make breathing a little easier?  God has given us this planet forever.  With care it will last that long. With care we can live a lot longer and a lot better, that is up to us it’s never too late to start.  Remember He has given us everything we have; we need to give thanks to Him and our neighbors.
