Absolutely yes, without a doubt.  What I have seen recently certainly supports this statement.  A man pulls into the Seymour Post Office, parks, leaves car running and door ajar.  Really big, new and nice, also worth about forty big ones.
Another guy parked a nice four door truck in a no parking zone in front of a local tobacco shop, left engine running.
I wonder if the thieves are making sure the car/truck they steal has lots of high priced gasoline.
Some self serve gas stations allow you to pump and then pay inside or the driver needs smokes or a Cuppa Joe.  He/she leaves vehicle sitting at the pump and leaves the keys in the ignition. Lots of strangers and even some few local folks would not hesitate to jump into your ride and joyfully ride off into the sunset.
In all the foregoing you only lost your wheels and gained the pain of paperwork and embarrassment.  But what if your baby was in the baby seat asleep in the back seat.
Now you really have a problem.  The driver doesn’t have the skills to handle your supercharged road warrior or while showing off has an accident destroying your pride and joy.  Plus he could also be sending one or two innocent people to the hospital.
Well sorry about that you say.  You are truly sorry, but now you have acquired that financial responsibility. Many don’t believe that… just ask your insurance agent.
Something that I am seeing more of is supermarket customers using their own bags to carry their merchandise home.  Lots folks seem to be buying organic produce.
Judging from the bread shelves more of us are eating more whole wheat bread.  Just for your information wheat bread is not ‘whole wheat’. Read the ingredients label. The first ingredient must be whole wheat, enriched wheat or just enriched means that the flour is milled and all nutrients are removed, separated and about half has been returned to the flour thus enriching it.
Reads like a scam to me.  If I walked into a store and took their money and walked back in and returned about half of what I took…would I have enriched that store, I don’t think so.
We are also getting more choices in whole wheat products, whole wheat bagels, cinnamon-raisin bread, cookies etc.  It’s nice to see more local produce in the markets.  Not too many years ago supermarkets weren’t permitted to buy local, they wanted long distance control.
Remember when you were on vacation to a new place in your life.  When you are new to an area, searching for an address or a landmark, you’ve got a car load of kids, hungry, tired, arguing. Your spouse yelling that you made the wrong turn or should’ve stopped and asked for directions.  If this hasn’t happened to you, you haven’t lived.
Just remember before you lay down on your horn.  Ask your grand child to get on the computer to get and print out a detailed map.
Don’t forget that at least every night you thank the Lord for your safe trip and the great recreation that you have had, remember re create, that’s why you made the journey.
